Hatha Flow:
This yoga class is for all levels, it begins with a short warm up, incorporates sun salutations to get the heart rate elevated, includes static poses to stretch the muscles and balance poses to work on focus and balance. The class ends with a cool down and svasana (the final resting pose).  Yoga students are encouraged to work at their own level, to honor their body and their limitations and to go deeper when needed.  If you have an injury, please be very mindful that the yoga class is designed for healthy bodies.  We hope that we have created an environment in which people with injuries and limitations feel welcome in class and feel no pressure to do any of the poses that bring more injury or pain to the body.

Hot Yoga:

This is a power yoga class that will be held in a heated room. In a heated yoga class it is important for the yoga student to focus on controlled breathing through each asana (yoga pose) to keep the body and mind calm in the heat.  The teacher may also incorporate a vigorous flow that will also heat the body from the inside and create a detoxifying sweat. Please bring plenty of water and be prepared to take breaks on your own when needed.

Yoga Jam:

This is a class which will bring lightness to your heart as Jaxon leads you through yoga flows designed to create focus but also to bring about a little smile with the playful nature of his teaching style.  He mixes in jammin tunes to inspire the energy to flow and he heats the room to warm the body and invite the sweat.

Morning Asana:
This class will have a significant warm up period of various stretches designed to warm the whole body. It will also include  sun salutations to heat the body from within through a series of vinyasa (flow of poses) and a cool down period, a sure fire way to start your day off right. All levels and abilities welcome.  This class tends to be gentler than the "hatha flow" classes based on the fact that it is early in the morning and we have to be mindful of the fact that bodies are naturally stiffer in the mornings.

Align and Flow:

Develop sound principals of alignment, conscious breathing, and mental focus as you build a strong practice. A flow of Sun Salutations and postures are skillfully sequenced, and modifications are used to individualize the practice for each student. Poses are held more deeply to promote flexibility and release tension in the body and mind. This class is suitable for all levels and often led with music.

Beginner/Restorative:
Come and try out yoga, even if you think you will be "the worst yoga student ever".  You may find out that yoga is JUST what YOU need.  All levels and abilities are welcome to this class.  The pace is slow, and there is a lot of instruction to help students learn the asanas (poses) as well as work on learning how to breathe.

 Energetic Prana Flow

This class is an intermediate/advanced vinyasa style practice. Prana flow class will have a deep focus on alignment and kramic evolutionary sequencing. Class will use evolutionary steps from simple to complex to guide your body, mind, and spirit through practices that open and strengthen your body in a progressive way to take you to your full potential.

Ashtanga Inspired Yoga:

In this 90 min vigorous class we will work on the becoming familiar with the primary series of Ashtanga yoga (eventually adding in some of the second and third series postures. You will learn the sequence of asanas as well as how to synchronize the breath and postures to create flow in the practice. It is recommended that you have some yoga experience before joining this class.

Kid Yoga:
Kids love yoga!  We hope to instill a love for movement as well as the importance of being kind to your body, keeping it healthy through exercise. We offer Kid Yoga classes throughout the year for ages 4-6 and ages 7-10 for boys and girls.  In the SUMMER we run Kid Yoga Camps which incorporate yoga as well as exploration in the Arts and Science.  See the Kid Yoga Page for more info.

Yoga for Stiff People:
This class is for people who need to focus on deeper stretching so that they can break through stiffness that causes chronic pain.  The class will help alleviate stress and tension held in the muscles and through focused breathing, help the mind learn to relax as well.
